Week 6 - Pros & Cons
Plaxo and LinkedIn offer a profile similiar to a website where one can create a professional web profile that has linked contacts. It is a one-stop shop for a professional resources for account holders and account viewers. However, it is limited in design. Yet, it is clean and uncluttered.
A website offers the ability to create a professional profile with a lot more creativity. However, one could go overboard with creativity and create clutter instead of a clean, clear, consise website. Also, there is no pre-set links for contacts like Plaxo and LinkedIn offer.

Week 5 - Library Thing
Library Thing is great! I've already added 17 books and can't wait to add more. I love to read and am excited about the recommendations link. I've already placed a recommended book on hold from the local library. Also, I read so much that I wish I would've started documenting the books that I've read. Here's my chance! So, as I remember books that I've read over the years I'm just going to add them to my library at Library Thing!

Week 4 - Podcast
It took me forever to figure out how to add a podcast to my bloglines account. First, the instructional video wasn't working so I went back to the RSS Feeds video from a prior week. The two ways it indicated adding a RSS feed to a bloglines or reader account was nothing like the results I got. So, I finally went to bloglines and to the help link. Finally, I was able to add "Sub with Bloglines" to my favorites. I hadn't done that before because on my other computer I had pulled the tab up in the Firefox toolbar. Once that was complete I was able to add Assercize!

Week 4 - You Tube
I figured out how to post a video! I frequent YouTube pretty regularly and primarily for entertainment. I like it because it is user friendly.
YouTube is a great tool for education. Educators should tap into this resource because their students have grown up with this type of technology. By staying up on the usage of technology, teachers will be able to engage their students thus being able to incorporate more learning time....and less behavior management time due to boredom.
There are so many videos on YouTube that any subject will be able to utilize this website. It is a quick and easy way to prepare lesson plans!
Since I'm a fitness instructor, I thought this was a good one. Enjoy!

Week 4 - Technorati
Well, first I couldn't find the HTML code in the assignment. Anyhow, when I searched in Blog Directory, there wasn't any results for Kinesiology. When I searched under Blogs there were 28 results. And, when I searched under tabs there was just an alphabetical list which did not include Kinesiology and no "search" section. I really don't know what to make of it.
I checked out some of the 28 results and was surprised to see that 'kinesiology' was one of their tags when I wasn't able to search for Kinesiology under tags. Maybe I missed something ???
